Promo Mechanics

The 2026 BDO Credit Cards Cashback Activation Program (“Promo”) is open to targeted BDO Credit Cardholders (“Cardholders”) who received the BDO promo offer via SMS.
The promo will run from May 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026.
To qualify for the Cashback, the Cardholder must activate his/her eligible Card and use it to meet the Minimum Spend Requirement within the applicable Activation and Spend Period:

The following transactions are not qualified in meeting the Spend Requirement:
- Local/International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter
- Transactions from casino or from merchants engaged in gambling
- Transactions from trading services/remittances
- BDO Internal Installment transactions (Balance Transfer, Purchase Convert, Cash Installment, etc.)
- Quasi-cash, cash in to load e-wallet/prepaid cards, money send/funding payment (Maya, GCash etc.)
- Transactions used to register or redeem from other ongoing BDO Credit Card promos
- Reversed/cancelled/disputed transactions
- Fees & Charges BDO has the sole discretion in determining whether a transaction is qualified. BDO is dependent on the merchant category classifications assigned by the acquiring bank of each merchant establishment to be able to identify the qualification of a transaction. In case a transaction is put into question, BDO may require Cardholder to submit documents related to the transaction in question to resolve the matter.
For Cards enrolled in Dual Currency, transactions posted in US Dollars will be converted to Philippine Pesos using Php57: US$1 conversion rate in computing for the Spend Requirement.
Earning of Cashback (“Promo Offer”) upon meeting the Promo Requirements:
1. For BUY NOW, PAY LATER and Cash Installment transactions, only the principal or base amount will be included in the Minimum Spend Requirement.
2. The Cashback shall be credited to the qualified Cardholder's principal account within sixty (60) calendar days after the Spend Period or by December 31, 2026, whichever comes first.
3. Qualified Cardholders will receive an SMS notification once the Cashback has been posted to their account. Posted Cashback will appear on the Statement of Account (SOA) with transaction description “Cashback Activation Promo”. Cashback will be awarded in Philippine Peso.

In case a Cardholder has more than one qualified Card, the Cashback will be awarded on each qualified Card that meets the Promo Requirements within the corresponding Spend Period. Spend from multiple qualified Cards may not be combined to meet the Spend Requirement.

A Qualified Card may only earn a Cashback once under this Promo.

The Qualified Cardholder must ensure that his/her registered mobile number with BDO is updated and accurate. BDO will not be responsible for non-receipt of SMS due to incorrect or outdated contact details.

The Cardholder must examine his/her statement of account for any errors related to the Promo. All complaints will be handled within 7 to 10 banking days from receipt of complaint, provided with complete information, proof of purchase and other supporting documents. All questions and issues arising from the Promo will only be accepted within thirty (30) calendar days after the end of the corresponding Cashback Posting Period, after which all matters relating to the Promo are considered conclusive.

By participating in this Promo, Cardholders authorize BDO to disclose to any authorized vendor/supplier their names and other pertinent details.

BDO Credit Cardholder must be active and of good credit standing at the time of posting of the Cashback, otherwise, the Cashback earned shall be forfeited.

Cashback awarded is non-transferable and non-convertible to cash, however, it is treated as a credit or payment for purchases or any outstanding balance on the BDO Credit Card.

The Promo is not valid in conjunction with other promotions, unless otherwise stated. Transaction/s used to qualify under this Promo may no longer be used for any other ongoing BDO Credit Card promos. Similarly, transactions that were already used to redeem treats, rebate, points, cashback, etc. from other BDO promos, shall no longer be used to avail of this Promo. If found to have multiple availments, BDO shall have the right to reverse the posted reward/cashback. BDO has sole discretion in qualifying the transactions based on the mechanics of the Promo.

The decision of BDO, in concurrence with DTI, on all matters relating to the Promo shall be final and binding on all Cardholders.
